Inquire About Our Ministries

Baptism Instructor

Baptism Instructors help prepare parents and godparents for their child’s Baptism by guiding them through the meaning of the sacrament and the responsibilities of raising a child in the Catholic faith. They lead simple, welcoming sessions that explain the rite, answer questions, and support families as they take this important step in their faith journey.

Bereavement

The Bereavement Ministry offers care, compassion, and support to individuals and families experiencing the loss of a loved one. Volunteers provide prayers, guidance, and a comforting presence during a difficult time, helping others feel the love and hope of Christ as they navigate grief.

CCD Teacher

CCD Teachers share the Catholic faith with children by leading engaging lessons, helping them understand Scripture, prayer, and the sacraments. They guide students in growing their relationship with Jesus and support families in forming a strong foundation in the faith.

Church Decorating

The Church Decorating Ministry helps create a beautiful and prayerful worship space throughout the year. Volunteers assist with seasonal décor, floral arrangements, and special liturgical setups, helping the church reflect the joy and reverence of each celebration.

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion

Extraordinary ministers present the Body and Blood of Christ to those who come to Holy Communion at all liturgies. Ministers are scheduled to distribute communion during Masses on Saturday evenings, Sundays and Holy days. They also volunteer at weekday Masses as needed.

Finance Council

The Finance Council supports the parish by reviewing budgets, offering financial guidance, and helping ensure responsible stewardship of parish resources. Members use their professional skills to assist the pastor in planning, transparency, and long‑term financial stability for the parish community.

Funeral Meals

The Funeral Meals Ministry provides comfort and hospitality to grieving families by preparing and serving meals after a funeral. Volunteers offer support through simple acts of kindness—cooking, coordinating, or helping host—so families can gather, share memories, and find peace during a difficult time.

Groundskeeping

The Groundskeeping Ministry helps care for the parish property by maintaining lawns, gardens, and outdoor spaces. Volunteers assist with mowing, trimming, planting, and seasonal clean‑ups—creating a welcoming and well‑kept environment for all who visit the parish.

Homebound Ministry

The Homebound Ministry brings the love of Christ to parishioners who cannot attend Mass due to age, illness, or limited mobility. Volunteers visit, pray with them, and share the Eucharist, offering companionship, spiritual support, and a vital connection to the parish community.

Lectors

Lectors engage the parish community in thoughtful reflection on the Word of God through proclamation of the scriptures, prayers of the faithful, responsorial psalms, general intercessions and petitions. Lectors are scheduled to read during Masses on Saturday evenings, Sundays and Holy days. They also volunteer at weekday Masses as needed.

Adult Mass Servers

Adult servers assist the priest who presides at Mass, become involved in the parish, and become an integral part of the celebration of the liturgy. Adult servers are often required for weekday and funeral Masses. Training is provided.

Youth Mass Servers

Youth Mass servers assist the priest throughout the liturgy. They carry the cross, candles, and incense, hold the liturgical books, and help prepare the altar. This ministry requires training, responsibility, and provides an opportunity for spiritual growth and service, often allowing for service hour credits.

Militia of the Immaculata

The Militia of the Immaculata (MI) is a worldwide Catholic evangelization movement founded by St. Maximilian Kolbe in 1917. Open to all Catholics over age seven, the MI encourages total consecration to the Blessed Virgin Mary as a path to personal sanctification and the spiritual renewal of society. What is an MI Group? A group of married couples, families, and friends who gather to live out their Marian consecration together. These groups function as both prayer and apostolic communities, focusing on common prayer, formation, and apostolic work. Why should you join? The mission of the MI is to “win the whole world for Christ through the Immaculata.” By joining a group, you unite your prayers and sacrifices with millions of Catholics globally to build the Kingdom of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. There are no dues or monetary requirements; the primary “donations” are time and prayer. How do you get involved? Membership begins with completing a personal Act of Total Consecration to Mary. Attend meetings for prayer, fellowship, and mission planning on a regular basis, according to a schedule the group creates. For more information, contact Deacon Mike Meyer, Coordinator of Evangelization.

Musician/Choir

The Music Ministry welcomes singers and musicians who want to share their gifts and help lead the parish in worship. Whether in the choir or as an instrumentalist, members enrich the liturgy through prayerful, inspiring music that supports and elevates the celebration of the Mass.

Schola Choir

The Schola Choir is a small ensemble dedicated to singing sacred music that enhances the beauty and reverence of the liturgy. Members focus on chant and traditional hymns, helping lead the parish in prayer through music rooted in the Church’s rich musical tradition.

Prayer Chain

The Prayer Chain Ministry offers spiritual support by lifting up the needs of parishioners and their loved ones in daily prayer. Volunteers receive intentions and pray for each request, creating a quiet but powerful network of faith, hope, and compassion within the parish community.
