In the life of faith, growth is essential—not only for our bodies and minds but for our souls. Confirmation is the sacrament that strengthens and completes the grace first received in Baptism and nourished through the Eucharist. It seals us with the gift of the Holy Spirit and brings us to full initiation in the Church, preparing us for a mature Christian life.
Through Confirmation, we embrace responsibility for living our faith. The same Holy Spirit who descended upon the apostles at Pentecost comes to us, filling us with His seven gifts: wisdom, understanding, knowledge, counsel, fortitude, piety, and fear of the Lord. These gifts bear fruit in our lives—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control—so that we may courageously witness Christ in the world.
