How do I sign my child up for Religious Education class?
Sign-ups for the upcoming year will be up and running by the beginning of July for parents to enroll.
When can I sign my child up for class?
Sign-ups run from July 1st to August 1st. After August 1st, a late fee of $50 will be applied.
I may be interested in teaching religion or volunteering in the classroom or other events. How do I do that?
We LOVE to have volunteers and are often looking to fill teacher positions. You can call our CRE office at 937-526-3957.
Where is my child supposed to go for religion?
Your child should head directly into the church for Adoration/Benediction, entering the main doors at the East entrance of the church. Students classrooms/teacher list will be posted outside in the Religious Education building Bulletin board prior to the first session. There will also be teachers present in the church to help locate your children to their classes and guide them to their class pew. Your child will sit with their class ( 1st - 5th grade) Note: Parents are welcome to enter the church with their child and stay for Adoration/Benediction.
Who is expected to attend Adoration/Benediction?
Students in grades 1-5 are required to attend, but we always encourage all who are free to come. Older students and parents can attend and participate in adoring our lord as a community of faith.
Where do elementary, middle school and high school students sit?
1st-5th graders sit in assigned/labeled pews with their teachers and class
6th-12th graders sit where they would like unless their teachers instruct them otherwise, as those teachers may not be attending Adoration/Benediction.
Do I just drop my child off at church for Adoration/Benediction or come into church?
You may simply drop your child off or come in to help them find their class. Students need to enter through the East (main entrance) doors of the church.
Parents are welcome to stay and join us for Adoration and Benediction.
We are also always looking for chaperones for each grade to help to assist the kids in benediction and getting safely to their classrooms as we head over to the school building. Sign up’s to volunteer are sent out and posted on our page above under schedule, information and forms.
When and how will I receive notification of any changes to the schedule?
CRE’s and teacher - will be sending out notifications via Text/Email messages through our Flocknotes program. This will be our primary and only communication. Please ensure you sign up for Flocknotes at the top of this page under the Flocknotes sign up link.
How does the pick up and drop off line work?
Drop off - Enter from Center St (West) and exit either Second St (East) or Ward St (South).
Pick up - students will wait with their teachers behind the designated cone area with their teachers on the west end of the school.
Parents enter the Center St (West) entrance of the lot and follow the marked lanes going East or South and wait for your child. You may need to signal or exit your vehicle to be seen by your child/teacher.
My child rides home with someone other than a parent. Do I need to tell someone that?
If your child should be dismissed to someone other than a parent, please send a written note with your student to class, or reach out to your student’s teacher directly with this information.
Do I need to inform someone if my child has to miss a night of religion class?
Yes, please call, text, or email your child’s teacher or call the CRE office at 937-526-3957 to notify them.
