Welcome to Youth Ministry!
We are a community for middle school and high school students who are figuring out faith, building real friendships, and having an absolute blast doing it. We don't do boring, because Jesus isn't boring so we aren't either!  

Here is the game plan every time we meet:
  • The Food: Because you can't feed the soul on an empty stomach. Expect fun drinks, crunchy and melt worthy snacks, or pizza ready for you as you walk through the door.
  • The Fun: High-energy games, laughs, and competitive challenges that will probably get a little chaotic (the good kind).
  • The Fellowship: A place where you always belong. Come connect with a crew that has your back through the highs and lows of the school year.
  • The Faith: Real, honest talks and activities about God, life, and your purpose. Nothing perfect about us—just real students and mentors seeking a real faith.

Purpose
The High School Youth Leader Discipleship Program exists to form disciples who lead, not just teens who help.

HS Youth Leaders are invited to:
  • Grow personally in relationship with Christ
  • Learn how to lead peers with humility and courage
  • Practice servant leadership within the youth ministry
  • Discern how God may be calling them to lead in the Church and world
Youth Leaders is about stewardship of influence.

Leadership Model
HS Youth Leaders lead by:
  • Presence – showing up consistently
  • Example – living faith authentically
  • Service – putting others first
  • Courage – choosing what is right, even when hard
Youth leaders are not expected to be perfect. They are expected to be available, teachable, and faithful.

Events Leaders assisted in stewardship: 
  • Faith Formation Sessions 
  • Worship Nights 
  • Small Groups within our sessions 
  • Xmas and Spring and other events
  • Other various opportunities that arise throughout the year.
  • Daily example to peers on upholding a leader of faith mentality 

* This program is currently in the beginnings of this newly established refinement to help create more solid leader goals and involvement to build up ministry discipleship traits with-in their years in this HSYM program.

YM SOCIAL EVENTS, CAMPS & CONFERENCE FOR SPIRITUAL GROWTH AND FUN

Standard Session: 
   Activities: FAITH discussion, pumpkin carving, advent meditative prayer,  LOTS OF GAMES, giving tree creations, prayer activations, FOOD, campfires, LEADERSHIP growth, adoration & WORSHIP.

Pancake Breakfast | 3 times a year (Fall, Winter, Spring)  Activities: Assist in preparing and serving community breakfast after masses, with peers and lots of fun!

Christmas Party: 
Activities: Food, Games, Student Leader Advent talks, holy chaos & gift exchange.  

Spring Shindig Party:
  Activities: Indoor & outdoor sports, food, Games, music, prayer & more!

CYSC | Damascus Summer Camp
Usually in July - Catholic Summer Camp full of fun, faith, worship, encounter and fire transformation with fellow peers and missionaries!

Steubenville Youth Conference
One fire impacted weekend of faith, transformative encounter, testimonial and inspirational speakers, prayer and worship, adoration and more all in one 3 day hit!

Catholic Heart Work Camp
Mission, Service, Heart and Encounter. Serve with local peers in Ft. Wayne for a week camp of mission life of service to others while building faith, relationships, and spiritual renewal and ​passion. 


Meet the 4th Wednesday of each month

Usual Locations: Located in the St. Denis Church Undercroft

Routine Activities: Games, snacks, discussion, small groups, activities, and meditational prayer.

How to get involved: Everyone is encouraged and invited to attend each session!  Join us on Wednesday nights for a night of fun, friendship, and foundational activities rooted in Christ. Contact our YM or Religious Education office with questions!

  • Welcome Back Party: 
    Routine Activities:     Indoor/ outdoor games, snacks, music, prayer & fellowship!
    Standard Session:     activities (pumpkin carving, xmas prayer cards, giving tree setup, campfires) games,  topic and discussion, snacks, prayer activations, adoration & worship.

  • All Saints Day Fest: 
    Routine Activities:     prayer/rosary walk, food and social!

  • Pancake Breakfast |  2-3 times a year (Fall, Winter, Spring) Open for 8th Grade Students to assist High School YM in serving our Pancake Breakfast 7am-1pm Sunday work shifts. 
    • Routine Activities: Assist in preparing and serving breakfast before and after Sunday mass times. 
    • Sign Up: Sign up sheets will be available via link below the week prior to the event. 
  • Christmas Party: 
    Routine Activities:     Games, Advent discussions, food & gift exchange.

The Children’s Choir gives young singers the chance to share their voices at select Masses and parish celebrations. Children learn liturgical music, develop confidence, and experience the joy of contributing to the beauty of worship through song.

Meet: First Tuesday of the month from 7-8pm. 
* Easter prep: Will practice for 6 Tuesdays 7-8pm prior to Easter Sunday. Please ensure child can attend at least 4 of the 6 of these. Children will sing with adult choir for 9am Easter Sunday Mass.

Assist the priest throughout the liturgy. They carry the cross, candles, and incense, hold the liturgical books, and help prepare the altar. This ministry requires training, responsibility, and provides an opportunity for spiritual growth and service.

Training for 5th and 6th grade boys will take place in December 2026.  Boys in any grade 5th and up can be an altar server!  Contact the parish office/Mike Meyer with questions!
