Chosen by the parents, Godparents are entrusted with the responsibility of supporting the child’s faith journey throughout their life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Spiritual Guidance: Godparents are expected to help nurture the child’s Christian faith, offering guidance, encouragement, and prayer.
- Witness to Baptism: They stand with the parents during the baptism ceremony, publicly affirming their commitment to support the child’s spiritual growth.
- Faith Example: Godparents should be active in their own faith, serving as role models of Christian living.
- Lifelong Support: Beyond the ceremony, godparents often maintain a close relationship with the child, offering mentorship and love as they grow.
